Describe the best breakfast you’ve ever eaten
I am going to have to go with Portland, at large on this one. & though the eggs Benedict & Florentine have blown other cities out of the water amongst various attempts absolutely across the board – I would have to cast my vote with Vita’s vegan chicken fried steak (forgive me, Bourdain) with steamed veggies, breakfast potatoes, and a bloody Maria – that’s with tequila ( & green tea – excellent sencha, for balance, afterwards).
The “chicken” which is actually tempeh, is slathered in a divine almond gravy, and there is something about those veggies, largely cruciferous, that is simply not replicable without access to fresh media and true heart-love for cabbage and cauliflower.
There is none finer.
Viva la Vita!
