What’s your idea for a perfect Sunday? How would it differ from a typical Sunday? If it’s Sunday where you are, what kind of day is it so far?

Yesterday was my Sunday, and it was a pretty god one. Apparently it was National Pie Day, so I made a mixed berry pie (pre-fab crust tho, but still very yummy!). & I made Coq au Vin for dinner, which also turned out pretty well, despite the fact that I skipped the last step (that Julia uses so many steps!). I also got the house cleaned up a bit, so it was a good day, in those terms – but I think a perfect Sunday would have to be a bit more laid back…

Any perfect day of the week would have to involve dining out, for at least one meal. It doesn’t have to be anything romantic, my Mom or a friend would do, but not alone, and no fast food! Sitting down and having a drink and a conversation is an inherent part of eating out, I think. And then your food just shows up! You don’t have to help with a thing, or even offer to lend a hand with the dishes – just give them some money! Love it!

Then I would go over to Lake Tahoe and sit on a nice quiet beach, without any tourists – this is a Sunday in the off season, of course… Mu could run around and we would take a little hike. & then go home, watch a movie, and make breakfast for dinner!

Done, that’s all I got – any spare time could be filled with napping and reading. Mmmm… let’s do this right & throw in a soak in the hot tub at the end.

With champagne!

OK, better.
